I'm currently on Ubuntu 16.4/X11, but I keep testing out Wayland under Fedora hoping to make the switch. Currently Wayland under Fedora 27 is still not a viable alternative to X11. The features that I'm missing are screen recording/sharing, global hotkeys, and global gamma/RGB(not just Redshift, SDL apps need it). Does Mir bring any of this to the table?

One of my apps supports global hotkeys through kglobalaccel5. Will Mir be compatible? Are we starting to see some standardization yet?

It looks like Mir is more and more transforming into another Wayland compositor.
