Phoronix: 32-bit ARM Finally Gets Mitigated For Spectre V1/V2 With Linux 4.18

While 64-bit ARM (AArch64) has been mitigated for months with the mainline Linux kernel against Spectre Variant One and Two, with the upcoming Linux 4.18 kernel is finally Spectre V1/V2 treatment for 32-bit ARM...

    This is a miracle!

Let's go back to bashing Intel as being the makers of the only vulnerable CPUs in all of existence because they announce their fixes while people still remember that these bugs exist!

Then we can praise ARM for being perfect when they announce fixes for the same bugs months after we forgot about them.

These had already been mitigated for AArch64 and 32-bit mitigations have been a low priority for Intel as well, so I don't really see what you are talking about. In both cases I think 64-bit is prioritized for good reasons.

I wonder if any older ARM devices get these fixes since manufacturers are quite reluctant to provide updates for them.

I'm hoping we'll see them in OpenWRT
