              Besides, Python is such a mess that if it requires Python 3.x, it also requires Python 2.x as well and if a project requires Python 2.x, it also requires 3.x with some pipes between them haha.

                The entire CG industry runs on Python 2.7. Python isn't the greatest language of all time but it's not bad for scripting your 3d suite. The major players will be making a coordinated move to Python 3 at the 2020 EOL date. https://www.vfxplatform.com

                  I doubt that's going to happen. It likely includes a lot of licensed code and maybe even remnants of 3dfx SLI code.
