    Asterisk really is an awesome project. It scales from very small installations to thousands of endpoints. I use it at home to run a VoIP gateway on a cheap (5€ on ebay) Lantiq router with FXS ports. The configuration it a bit tricky, but it's really worth it: https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/.../voip/asterisk
