The Wayland version of Firefox has already been available for a while in https://firefox-flatpak.mojefedora.cz/
If you use Ubuntu, you can get the nightly from a ppa:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-mozilla-daily/ppa
sudo apt install firefox-trunk

Though I think that the ppa version doesn't support Wayland yet.

Although I prefer Chrome for my laptop (I do use FF on my desktop) I might seriously consider using FF for my laptop whenever Wayland support is officially released. I'm not ditching Chrome for nightly builds of FF.
