Is there any interest in creating a test for benchmarking CPU performance in BLAS/LAPACK? I remember back in 2010ish when I started my PhD my Lab had to buy computers based on OpenBLAS/MKL/SunPerf performance (dgemm, dpotr, dpotrf routines). We had to write our own BLAS/LAPACK tests for that purpose. Those routines are still ubiquitous in research involving numerical modeling.

Has anybody else here used OpenBLAS extensively?
