      Every darktable release feels like a christmas present!

      But I am wondering, why the PowerPC support? Is PowerPC a common architecture outside of the embedded world and super-computers? Additional hardware support is always great, but where's the use-case?

        It's likely the dev just refactored some of the endianness specific code with OpenPOWER in mind and noticed it also compiled successfully for PowerPC so they listed it as such.
