Reading about another Openshot release kind of got me curious about developer activity for the project and it looks like there's only the one developer plugging away at it. So I looked at the other FOSS video editors commit activity for a comparison.

Kdenlive seems to be seeing the most activity right now across 4 different developers: https://cgit.kde.org/kdenlive.git/log/

Followed by shotcut with another 4 developers: https://github.com/mltframework/shotcut/commits/master

Flowblade only has the one developer going at it right now but has a decent amount of recent commits: https://github.com/jliljebl/flowblade/commits/master

Pitivi has what looks like the most varied amount of active developers but the commit frequency doesn't seem all that high: https://github.com/GNOME/pitivi/commits/master

And finally it looks like Openshot is bringing up the rear with only Jonathon Thomas contributing and a fairly low commit frequency: https://github.com/OpenShot/openshot-qt/commits

Just thought it was kind of interesting to look at the varied FOSS video editor ecosystem and decided to share. Of course this was just an extremely simplified peek at the activity and probably isn't very reliable as I didn't even take into account the actual volume of code insertions and deletions which would probably be the better metric to judge it by.
