    You might not even need XWayland support and all those other fancy functionalities for a Kiosk-like compositor.
    You're likely just going to want to run one fullscreen application, such as a web browser.

      That's not been our experience with mir-kiosk.

      A lot of the "kiosk" applications (such as web browsers) only use X11 and that needs Xwayland to translate.

        In the meanwhile, so far every single ATM/vending machine/whatever I've seen in my country still run Windows.
