Erm, what does the support for DXTn compressed textures mean? I'd assume games using them already work as long as the drivers do? Is this about compression support (not using already compressed ones)?

The D3D9 to OpenGL code for using S3TC texture compression looks to have been missing some bits around handling offset destination rects.

Probably that you can install the optional high-res S3TC-compressed textures from Unreal Tournament (1999) CD 2 and have them work.

See http://www.vgamuseum.info/index.php/.../870-s3tc-dxtc for explanation and side-by-side comparison images.
