    Disabling SDMA sounds more like a workaround than a ... fix. :/

      It is a workaround, since coming up with a fix proved to be quite hard. Better to prevent crashes with a workaround and continue looking for the fix, than wait for a fix with broken experience.

        Important thing is they get a stable baseline and then they can do improvements. AFAICT SDMA never gave any big performance boost (on other generations)...

          I dont know what is this dma or sdma,
          using AMD_DEBUG=nodma from the report page, give my glxgears from 10.000 to around 14.400 with my vega 56.
