        Isn't that be the great thing? That after recording video with your camera it gets encoded to AV1/whatever uses little space while being lossless or having little loss?
        Maybe in one or two years automatic AV1 Android encoding is pretty common.

          I'm re-encoding a video over to AV1 on my cellphone right now. At about two frames per day, it should be done in "only" about 300 years. /s

            I'm glad you got my point. The previous two completely missed it. I expect if you bought a brand new phone and started encoding a 30 second 4k clip your phone would die and need replacing in a few years before the clip finished encoding.
