"And just like other platforms, we always appreciate feedback—it’s the best way to serve our customers."

The only feedback Microsoft gets these days is "turn off telemetry". These clowns have no interest in serving anyone, *especially* their customers.

I wonder what that means in regards to DRM and content playback?

or they can download it from the native Linux package manager

It means that distro maintainers can create versions of the package suitable for distribution through whatever distro's normal package manager is.

Over 98% of software is created to earn money and nothing else. Go cry in the corner, an open source idealist.

Now on to a more serious note: I don't like that we have dozens of web browsers based on Chromium and basically none based on Mozilla Firefox/Servo/Gecko, whatever their current engine is.

From what I've heard the HTML standard nowadays is created by Google for Chrome.

Out of respect for your own (paying) customers, stop shoving your self serving spyware down people's throats.

For the love of everything good and right, dear Microsoft, no one cares about your browser... it serves nothing better than to do the initial download of some other browser as soon as someone does a fresh install of windows.

If anyone from Microsoft happens across this forum, please do something right and bring Office to Linux!! (hint office 365 web edition is a joke for real users... it doesnt count).

I want very badly to be able to buy (yes as in pay money) to run a native version of office on Ubuntu (heck I will even switch distros if its required).

Wow, Linux users are really privileged to have another browser available that contains double spyware (Both from Microsoft and Google).
Most likely Microsoft didn't built it on top of Ungoogled-Chromium.
Coming as closed source, it goes directly to the trash bin together with Opera, Vivaldi and other closed source browsers.
There's literally zero reasons to use such garbage when we already have Firefox and Ungoogled-Chromium.
