I was already on the dmabuf+wayland branch, so updated: https://t2sde.org/packages/obs-studio - will test on the next livestream, probably later today ;-) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAD...6N7Uq9laOVbcw/

Looks like it broke vaapi recording. Video is recorded but only with few frames. Tested on Radeon Rx 580 with mesa 21.0.1 and libva 2.11.0. Can anyone confirm this?

Looks like vaapi works for my old Radeon, but the Wayland capture is too bright or so: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ggf9dsDSHpo

It's a bug in Mesa 21. Fixed on master. I found it... https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/..._requests/9995

Unfortunately AMDs VCE still doesn't have very good quality... :-/
But with the fix it seems to work very well at least!

I'm using the Flatpak version of OBS 27 RC1 (Flathub beta) and everything works, but I can't record fullscreen apps (in my case, gameplays) because it depends of the inmature and unstable DMA-BUF support for Radeon GPUs (the truth is I can record, but OBS crashes many times after closing a fullscreen app and sometimes it crashes randomly).

It seems that the issue needs to be fixed with an integral solution from AMDGPU and Mutter. I hope to see this fixed for Fedora 35.

Thank you for the information. I am not going to upgrade to Mesa 21 as the encoding code seems to be unstable (since 19.1!).
