Do you have to, do you have to
Do you have to let it linger?

    Yes. There be dragons.

apparently I was wrong about 9front, but the rest do.

Does any distribution run on an i486? Or do they just creep?

Given that I can run NetBSD on my Dreamcast I think it would be pretty fast on a i486. I actually have it installed on a Pentium 3 computer that is like my emergency backup system incase all my other computers are broken for some reason.

                  Hmm...
Dreamcast: 200 MHz RISC CPU, 16+8 MB RAM.
i486: 33 MHz CISC CPU, typically 2 to 4 MB RAM

                    antiX.

MX-Linux 18.3; anything later will disappoint.

Probably--possibly--a lot of others; you will have to check.
