Not sure what you're talking about there. Both Go and Dart are used extensively at Google and have been steadily gaining in popularity.

If you read this post, it's not just about the readability. English is plenty readable but it has inconsistent rules and different implementations. English 1.0 is nearly impossible to understand if you only know modern English, and modern English has its own problems.

Whether or not this will be used by people outside of Google is a good question, but the way I see it, if it's useful to Google AND they open source it, then they did at least some good.

This seems pointless to me. They’re not wrong in their criticisms, but they are assuming you are writing the SQL yourself.

In Clojure we have honeySQL, which lets us generate SQL query strings from Clojure data structures. So verification is trivial, since it’s data like any other. It’s also easy to manipulate programmatically, and easier to read than a logic programming language.

I think logic programming itself is interesting, but just for generating SQL? That’s a tough sell imo.
