Is Btrfs still relevant outside of ReactOS? All major distros have backed out of it.

Just a week ago, I formatted a SSD with Btrfs. Then I read it's horrible for storing virtual disk images. Which is exactly what was above to move onto it! These kinds of things are going to make distros hesitant to make it a default.

"All major distros have backed out of it"

yeah, sure! it's only the default fs on SUSE and Fedora, two of the major distros out there.

And it's offered as an install option on Ubuntu and Debian.

The last patchset (V26) has been submitted a month ago: https://marc.info/?l=linux-fsdevel&m...8417018673&w=2
Since there there was no single comment / request for any change. It makes me hope they made reviewers & maintainers happy and it may get merged soon now.

I'm more interested into the NTFS driver being merged.
