Good to see. Maybe soon they'll also drop the old AppleTalk LocalTalk `cops_*` driver bits. (https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=216825)

An analogy, a toy being used to play with will only be useful as long as it's being played with. But like everything else, a toy will wear out with time so if it's not maintained it will fall off and thrown out. Also the toy could fall out of fashion as well as not being built well for the modern standards.

And the manufacturers of the toy gave Microsoft the right to make copies of the toy to bundle with their cereal. And because Microsoft's cereal packaging never changes, copies of the same toy still fit Microsoft's cereal box even if the manufacturers have gone out of business.

Old kernels don't suddenly disappear just because newer ones remove a driver.

Some shit missing, Some shit coming, bye bye driver. Except it is the same shitty driver because renaming a driver is a obcession, Github copilot does these things by random talking and such PullRequest are then coming without attention because such hardware does not exist, yet 🐧
