    I really hope AMD gets more proactive at this.

    I also hope GCC innovates some more to compete better with LLVM ecosystem.

      AMD will probably have to now that xilinx is involved, assuming there'll be funky accelerator things in the future to compete with intels funky accelerator things in general processors. Up until now there hasn't been too much detrimental to AMD dragging their feet has there? Architecture timings being poorly defined was bad, other than that what isn't covered by the generic x86_64 path?
