    So as a commoner desktop user is the Xe driver in a state where it can boot a desktop? I’m keen to experiment but I don’t really understand where the Xe driver is up to.

      MESA still has to catch up. Look for news in the second half of June.

          It works today (I'm using it) in Arch Linux.
