At first glance, this looks like an awesome small form factor workstation, but I can't imagine the price. Always in search of a new small form factor PC for my dad who is rocking a Kabini AMD system from around 2014 with 8GB of DDR3 and a traditional SATA SSD, all of which is starting to show its age.

It's meh. AMD started out with trying to make actual embedded products. Like < 5-10W.
It seems they've given up (15-54W TDP), slapped embedded on a reworked mobile CPU and called it a day.
It's not like they're trying to hide it (8845HS).

A Snapdragon 8 gen 3 will probably give this a run considering actual power usage.

You can set the CPU power limit down to 8W.
