Probably worth clarifying that this is not "the first official release of hsakmt" but rather "the first official release of hsakmt with the new numbering system and generated from the new git repository at cgit.freedesktop.org/amd/hsakmt".

It's the same component that has been in Oded's libhsakmt repository (at http://cgit.freedesktop.org/~gabbayo/libhsakmt/ ) for a year or so, but Oded has cleaned up the versioning, added support for autoconf/automake, and moved the public source to the fdo amd repo.

The primary "user" of the libhsakmt library is the HSA runtime, released separately in source & binary on the HSA Foundation github site.
