    Hijacking this.

We read about Mir and Vulkan but what is the situation with Wayland and Vulkan. Any update or explanation on how this will work.

Wayland is not tied to any drawing API. The choice is up to the window manager to use OpenGL or Vulkan

Wayland is only an API between a client (a window) and a server (a compositor/window manager) it doesn't care how the compositor renders to the screen.
Mir is instead a display server, handling all rendering and input handling which is why it needs support for things like libinput and OpenGL/Vulkan.

So. Wayland can use Vulkan instead of EGL that it uses now when it (vulkan) is ready?

AFAIK egl has some wayland specific stuff.

Yes. And vulkan has a wayland driver for displaying windows.

I like Mir because i like having MANY SOFTWARES instead of just one.

But let's face it, this is a waste of time for ubuntu.

They are spending their money in the wrong places.

If they wanted to help the linuxfordesktops they should have built a team that makes device drivers

It's funny, but Wayland support would be added to Mir and make Mir a Wayland compositor. It wouldn't make Mir obsolete. Wayland doesn't have dedicated server and relies on the compositor to "speak Wayland".
