            So KDE has all its previous version building on recent system.

              No kid, we had proper color monitors since the 60s/70s depending on where you were in the world. We just didn't have proper graphics cards till 1999.

              There were some black and green monitors in play at that time though, but they were mostly swapped out around the 80s and early 90s (20 years ago would be 1996, we did have Windows 95 at that time you know; and DOS computers weren't void of color either)
