    The major motivation of having a Gallium Intel driver disappeared when Vulkan was implemented on Intel gfx.

      I kinda like the idea of rewriting ILO to use the TGSI->NIR pass that freedreno already uses. At least the IR conversion code has already been started/completed. The ISL and genxml stuff would take a bit more work, but it sounds like something that someone could turn into a reasonable project

        Everyone likes new toys, but who's going to make them? It seems driver development isn't fun enough to attract a surplus of new developers...
