Rebrandeons confirmed. About the only good news is that hopefully AMD's Linux drivers won't be broken for these cards simply because they are literally overclocked/overvolted polaris parts from last year.
I just pulled the trigger on an RX 580 myself. I am still anxious on if there is support in place for it yet. As best I can tell there is no explicit "polaris20" support in git linux/drm/mesa.

This is just a refresh of last years' Polaris. Which is something that always happens. And was to be expected.
My guess is that Vega will come later (June/Jully ? )...
