      It is already enabled, though some downstreams still build chromium with gtk2 for continuity.

          Before they enabled it, but then they reverted it.

          I hope Chromium 59 defaults to GTK 3. I think it will.
          Then Electron will follow (which means GTK 3 in Atom, Spotify, VS Code, etc).

            That bug report is private because it's an infrastructure bug. As was said it was probably because their clusterfuzz machines didn't have libgtk-3-0 installed.

            Actually upon reading it again I'm not sure if the bug report is about the missing package.. Probably still an infra bug tho.
