Phoronix: Dell TB15/TB16 Thunderbolt Docks Should Soon Work Better On Linux

It's not just bad performance. The USB Ethernet on the dock corrupts downloads too. How this gets past TCP checksumming, I don't know.

This device is very bugged for Windows users too, at least by looking at the reviews on Amazon.

An ASMEDIA controller that needs workarounds on software side. Totally unexpected.

AFAIK TB15 has been retired because it was flawed beyond limit.

I have a TB16 and that works good. Only with ethernet I also have some troubles. It works but some data get corrupted.

Same here. Ethernet is flawed beyond usability, to the point that you can't reliably ssh into another machine. The rest works fine, really.

I'm curious if this data corruption happens on Windows too.
