    Phoronix: It's Looking Like More Vulkan Linux Games Could Be Landing Soon

    There's no announcement to break today, but besides there being an uptick in RADV performance work, there are some whispers and other indications of new Vulkan Linux titles likely dropping soon...

    Rise of Tomb Rider is all but confirmed to be coming. It has DX12 on Windows. The other is F1 2017.

        Unrelated: Astrokill is an Unreal Engine 4 game and works with -vulkan.
        Focused on combat without compromising realism, ASTROKILL is a modern space shooter drawing inspiration from old-school games like TIE Fighter and Freespace 2. Players pilot fighters, gunships, interceptors, and medics (in 1st or 3rd person) from warring factions in ballistic dogfights.

        Still doesn't help much against the stuttering all Unreal Engine 4 games suffer from though.

          I didn't see any news for this. Do you have a link? Or is it speculation as technically UE4 will provide Vulkan support anyway and we just hope to see a build with Vulkan support?

            I tried it.

            Right now it very quickly segfaults though.
            Code:
            Assertion failed: Result == VK_SUCCESS || Result == VK_SUBOPTIMAL_KHR [File:F:\UnrealEngine\Engine\Source\Runtime\VulkanRHI\Private\VulkanSwapChain.cpp] [Line: 339]
            vkAcquireNextImageKHR failed Result = -1000001004[Callstack]  00  0x000000000252a56f  FLinuxPlatformStackWalk::CaptureStackBackTrace(unsigned long long*, unsigned int, void*) [F:\UnrealEngine\Engine\Source\Runtime\Core\Private\Linux/LinuxPlatformStackWalk.cpp, line 1029]

              I've been fooling around with the RPCS3 emulator for PlayStation 3, an astonishing project which features both Vulkan and OpenGL renderers. Vulkan has been working quite for me there, though I hear some games suffer from bugs in Vulkan. Michael, seems like a great place for you to benchmark!
