Solus 4.6 Released With Continued Merged Usr Migration, Experimental Software Centers

Solus 4.6 is out as the newest version of this popular desktop Linux distribution that is known for its default Budgie desktop while also shipping with other desktop options.

Solus 4.6 ships with the latest desktop environment updates as well as newer software packages like Firefox 131 and Thunderbird 128. The Budgie desktop editions have also made some changes around their default audio/media players and other adjustments.

Solus 4.6 brings the latest work on their merged usr directory migration, experimental GNOME Software and KDE Discover software centers, is powered by the Linux 6.10 kernel, pulls in the Mesa 24.2 series graphics drivers, and has a variety of other updates.
