In the heavily threaded tests, the Threadripper 2990WX currently leads the race thanks to its 32-cores / 64-threads... It is always fun to see how many times faster the current CPUs are than their predecessors.

In the single-threaded tests or those not as well threaded, Intel generally comes out well in front.

And in other instances, it can be a toss-up depending upon how well the code gets optimized by GCC 8.2 and other factors.
