Clear Linux traditionally performs very well with the OpenJDK Java benchmarks for which Intel engineers have spent much time optimizing their Java stack. There were some upsets with AL2022 pulling ahead in some of them, which may be due to the new upstream OpenJDK 18 that is being used by default on Amazon Linux 2022 where as Clear Linux continues defaulting to their OpenJDK 8 based packages.
