Testing got started with SQLite where for this embedded database library the performance was largely the same with the exception of Clear Linux where its aggressive default CFLAGS and other tuning ended up causing this SQL databse system to run the fastest on it.

With the random read performance via FIO, there wasn't much to note except Manjaro was running slower than the rest.

Manjaro's random writes were also the slowest on this test system backed by the Samsung 960 EVO NVMe SSD.

While in the BlogBench I/O benchmark, Ubuntu 16.04 and Debian Testing were running the fastest compared to Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and the other platforms out-of-the-box.

With CompileBench though, Clear Linux shot back to the top position while Ubuntu 18.04 LTS was the slowest.
