Windows was also running very well with the Stockfish chess engine benchmark.

Ubuntu on WSL under Windows 10 ended up being the fastest environment for C-Ray multi-threaded ray-tracing.

Primesieve also was the fastest under Windows 10.

And again in Y-Cruncher, Windows 10 was faster than the four Linux distributions benchmarked.

While in the case of the AOBench renderer, Intel's own Clear Linux stack yielded much faster performance than the others.
