HP ZBook Studio G7 Aims To Attract Linux Developers, Data Scientists

When it came to real-world CPU performance tests, we were a bit surprised that Windows 10 was coming out in front of the Ubuntu 20.04 LTS installation for a number of tests. But, fortunately, Ubuntu 20.10 tended to outperform Windows 10. It was a bit surprising to see the Ubuntu 20.04 LTS stock install getting beaten out by Windows on this HP ZBook Studio laptop bit 20.10 does have the newer Linux kernel, newer Intel Thermald, and other upgrades. Hopefully once the latest hardware enablement stack rolls out to Ubuntu 20.04 LTS and any other back-ports the stock HP ZBook software stack will be performing closer to the Ubuntu 20.10 performance figures.
