Intel Arc Graphics Show Good Potential For Linux Workstation OpenGL Performance
Moving over to the ParaView visualization software, the Intel Arc Graphics performance was very promising here... With the "many spheres" scene the Arc Graphics A770 was outperforming the Radeon RX 6600 XT on its well-tuned RadeonSI Gallium3D driver. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 performance continued to come in low for this workstation workload.
In the Wavelet Volume scene as well the Arc Graphics performance on its Iris Gallium3D open-source driver was very competitive to the AMD Radeon and NVIDIA GeForce comparison cards.
The ParaView performance out of the Intel Arc Graphics was great and showing the Arc Graphics A750/A770 coming out successfully ahead of the Radeon RX 6600 XT while the GeForce RTX 3060 consumer GPU performance was very weak for this workstation workload.
