In total 141 different benchmarks were successfully run across the five Linux distributions under test on the OnLogic Karbon 700.

Of the 141 tests successfully ran on all distributions, Clear Linux won 46% of the tests (66) followed by Debian 10 and openSUSE Tumbleweed both being tied in for second place with 26 wins (18%) each followed by Fedora Workstation 31 in front only 8% of the time and Ubuntu 19.10 in first just 7% of the time.

Coming in place most often was Ubuntu 19.10 at 30% followed by Debian 10 at 22%.

But the better way of looking at the end result is with the geometric mean of all 141 tests. Ubuntu 19.10 was in last while Clear Linux was in first with 13.8% higher performance over Ubuntu 19.10. In second was Debian 10.1 with a 6% lead over Ubuntu while Fedora and openSUSE Tumbleweed sat in between those two.

Those interested in seeing all the benchmarks in full including more that just ran on a sub-set of the distributions can see all the numbers on OpenBenchmarking.org. Across all five tested Linux distributions, the OnLogic Karbon 700 was performing very well. See our earlier Karbon 700 review to learn more about this passive, industrial-grade PC.
