The Linux distributions were leading in a number of the other benchmarks too.

In total, 88 different benchmarks were run on these BSD and Linux operating systems. In the end, when counting outright wins/losses, Intel's Clear Linux distribution on this Xeon Skylake system was the fastest 55% of the time, Ubuntu 18.04 was in second with wins 12% of the time, and then FreeBSD 11.1 and Ubuntu 16.04 LTS tied in third at 9% each. When it came to losses, DragonFlyBSD 5.2 was the slowest 42% of the time.
