Benchmarking The Intel Performance Change With Linux FSGSBASE Support

Right from the start with first hitting I/O benchmarks, we see the tentative FSGSBASE patches improved the SQLite performance by several seconds and now nearly matches the unmitigated kernel performance. Granted, FSGSBASE patches plus an unmitigated kernel would likely yield even better performance.

FIO generally saw slightly better write performance with this upcoming kernel code.

The Ethr network benchmark was also performing better with the FSGSBASE code but was generally not enough to match the unmitigated kernel performance. In some of the Ethr run though it was able to do so.
