P-State/CPUFreq Governor Tests With Linux 4.12 For OpenGL/Vulkan Games

That's where things stand today with regard to Linux gaming when using the CPUFreq/P-State governors. P-State has improved in recent Linux kernel releases, but for some games there still is noticeably better Intel CPU performance by switching to P-State Performance or CPUFreq Performance. Similar AMD Ryzen tests are being worked on now with CPUFreq on Linux 4.12. Then just around the corner we'll be seeing what power management changes are in store for Linux 4.13.
