In the case of the NAMD heavy workload, schedutil yielded the same performance as ondemand and performance with it only suffering when using CPUFreq powersave. It's of little surprise and even in performance-per-Watt, CPUFreq powersave tends to be a disappointment.

Across a variety of video encode/decode benchmarks the CPUFreq performance governor continued to lead but often schedutil wasn't far behind.

Or in other workloads, just powersave continuing to be much slower in its attempt at conserving power.
