LLVM Clang 6.0 vs. 5.0 Compiler Performance On Intel/AMD Linux

In SciMark2's FFT test, the i7-8700K appeared to be the big winner.

While in the other sub-tests, the i7-8700K was running ahead to a smaller degree. And in some cases too, minor improvements on the AMD side for these micro-benchmarks.

The TSCP chess benchmark appeared a little bit slower with the i7-8700K while the other systems saw a small improvement.

The powerful EPYC and Xeon systems did see faster John The Ripper performance with Clang 6.0.
