With the longstanding ARES-6 benchmark, the ride has been bumpy from Firefox 57 to Firefox 71 stable though ending out slightly better on recent releases but currently with Firefox 73 Alpha is regressed to its highest level since Firefox 66.

Under the aging Octane JavaScript benchmark, the performance has slowly degraded with time where Firefox 57~58 actually had the best performance and it's only been getting worse.

WebXPRT is also on the unfortunate decline with succeeding Firefox releases. At least once WebRender is fully enabled for Linux systems the performance will hopefully be coming out ahead.
