Nouveau With Boost Patches Are Now Competitive To Radeon/AMDGPU With RadeonSI

When the Tesseract resolution increased, the R9 Fury was able to expand its lead over the GTX 780 Ti, but overall these results with Nouveau re-clocking and boosting are much more promising than past open-source NVIDIA vs. AMD comparisons.

With the rather CPU limited Team Fortress 2, the GeForce GTX 780 Ti on Nouveau was beating out the Radeon R9 Fury.

The R9 Fury and R9 290 wound up on top with the demanding Unigine Valley graphics benchmark.

With the Xonotic game benchmarks it was another interesting race with these green graphics cards being much more performant with the experimental Nouveau DRM kernel patches.
