OpenJDK 8/11 vs. GraalVM 20 vs. Amazon Corretto JVM Benchmarks
For Java-based file encryption with Bork, GraalVM had a narrow first place finish compared to Corretto and OpenJDK.
In the case of the Java DaCapo Benchmark results, the H2 sub-test was one of the rare cases where OpenJDK 14 was the fastest while Corretto 11 was performing similar to OpenJDK 11 while the rest were tied for the slowest.
The outcome of the JVM performance tended to vary a fair amount depending upon the individual workloads.
For the most part, the Amazon Correto performance tended to be quite close to the upstream OpenJDK. With GraalVM 20.0 there was its share of both wins and losses.
