RADV vs. AMDVLK Vulkan Drivers Continue Stiff Performance Battle
Running Dota 2 at 1080p saw the RADV driver slightly faster while there was high variance out of the AMDVLK runs.
But when pushing Dota 2 to 4K, the RX 580 performance was the same on both drivers while the RX Vega 64 was faster using the official AMDVLK driver in its current Git state.
Dawn of War 3 with low quality settings at 1080p is largely CPU bound and here we see the RADV driver delivering over 10% better performance than AMDVLK
While at 4K with low quality settings, the AMDVLK driver was slightly faster than RADV in Mesa 18.1-dev.
Dropping back to 1080p and running with high quality settings, RADV was faster than AMDVLK.
Or with high quality settings at 4K, the AMDVLK and RADV race again tightens up.
