AMD Ryzen 7 1800X Linux Benchmarks

The Ryzen 7 1800X was the fastest configuration tested when it came to building the Linux kernel from source.

With the multi-threaded workload, the Ryzen 7 1800X was the fastest Linux configuration tested and came out noticeably ahead of the Intel competition.

Another multi-threaded test win was secured for the Ryzen 7 1800X when running the Smallpt path tracer.

Similar to Himeno, the Stockfish results were rather peculiar for the Ryzen 7 1800X. With this open-source chess engine, the Ryzen 7 1800X was coming in just shy of the Core i5 4670 Haswell CPU.

FLAC audio encoding is another popular single-threaded workload. Here the Ryzen 7 1800X was just in between all of the Intel CPUs tested but the results were rather close.

With the LAME MP3 single-threaded test, the Ryzen 7 1800X was only trailing the Intel Core i7 7700K.

Ryzen, unfortunately, wasn't performing too well for the FFmpeg video encoding workload.
