Examination:

Toshiba has been manufacturing LCD products for many years, and generally, they have done quite a good job at producing them. Removing the Toshiba Regza 32RV530U from its packaging we were impressed by its construction and build quality. The LCD panel is capable of displaying up to 1080p video in NTSC/ATSC/QAM format. The Regza 32RV530U has a CineSpeed LCD panel, which Toshiba promises has a faster response speed, wide viewing angle, and can offer more life-like images compared to many of the other LCD HDTVs on the market. This TV also features DynaLight, which is Toshiba's term for dynamically adjusting the backlight of the panel based upon the brightness of a given frame, so that most noticeably darker frames appear darker. DynaLight provides 256 levels of backlight intensity.

In addition to the numerous video features, this Toshiba television also features StableSound, which ensures the audio remains within the specified preset range no matter the sound source. The Regza 32RV530U also uses Toshiba's new SoundStrip Speaker system. The front of the LCD HDTV is relatively simple and there is a nice black finish around the entire screen. On the right hand side of the display are the embedded controls. The buttons consist of power, channel up/down, volume up/down, menu, and input. There is also an HDMI input below these buttons and a set of RCA jacks.
