Windows Server 2016 vs. FreeBSD 11.2 vs. 8 Linux Distributions Performance Benchmarks
Scientific Linux 6.10 with its older EL6 code-base was the slowest when it came to running OpenSSL while FreeBSD was slightly ahead of that but behind of all the modern Linux distributions under test.
FreeBSD 11.2 was also lagging behind in the PostgreSQL benchmarks.
On the Linux distributions, Clear Linux 23610 was the fastest for running Redis.
