First up were a number of data visualization benchmarks with ParaView with was consistently showing Linux ahead of Windows with the exception of just one of the benchmarks. There were no large differences between Ubuntu 22.04, Ubuntu 22.04 with Linux 5.18, and Intel's Clear Linux in these benchmarks.

For WebP image encoding performance, Clear Linux was leading in some of the tests due to its more aggressive defaults but Windows with its reference WebP build was delivering competitive performance still to Ubuntu Linux.

For OpenJDK Java performance between operating systems, it still tends to be a mixed bag in general with how well Windows 10/11 can compete with Linux and nothing particularly Alder Lake specific.
